Picture this: You're in a bar and the attractive man in the suit is just a few metres away. There's no wedding ring on his finger, and you're pretty sure he's snuck some glances over in your direction. But it's been 43 fecking minutes and you're two glasses of wine in and he's still standing at that damn bar chatting to his mates. A few minutes later he makes his way to the door, pulling on his jacket. This time he definitely glances at you, but then he's gone. Another good looking man bites the dust.
How many times has this happened to you? Happened to your single friends? I'm going to take a stab at a lot. How many missed opportunities were there for you to connect with someone you actually found attractive?
Let's be honest for a second. Men, somewhere along the line, have lost some, if not all, of their balls. That's not to say women couldn't do more to help them find them again, but there's a 99% chance that the attractive man in the suit is thinking one of these three things:
- I'll swipe right on you at some point anyway
- She's probably not interested so I won't bother
- I don't really want to deal with the rejection, especially not in front of her friends
We've become a nation of tech-addicts, and no one wants to talk in the real world (I'm also guessing you've deliberately moved seats on public transport to avoid someone talking to you). Men don't NEED to approach anymore, because those sodding apps on their phones lets them scroll through hundreds of women, without the fear of face-to-face rejection. We, my friend, are in a dating culture of convenience. Except, where's it really got us? No where because nearly 17 MILLION of us in the UK are single (more than ever before).
That's where the Date Refresh comes in. To act as the mouthy, opinionated best-friend you probably never wanted, but damn well need. To answer your burning date, sex and relationship questions. To bridge the massive gap between the way men and women think, and to get people talking instead of teching.
Stick with me, you're in for a treat.
